E+C’s flat printed custom wedding invitation suite with a peach and slate watercolor succulentCongratulations are in order today on the destination wedding of Eddiemae and Colin! The couple are a Custom client and inspired one of our favorite invitation suites to date. I first met Eddiemae last summer at Fizz & Frills here in San Francisco. The couple is saying “We Do” in a traditional Mayan ceremony on the beach in Tulum, Mexico. I simply CANNOT WAIT to see photos from the event because along the way, Eddiemae shared many of her D-I-Y ideas for the decor and other details (think contemporary, artsy pinatas overhead and hot sauce escort cards!) Stay tuned for a feature about their invitations, weekend agenda and escort card hang tags!

As you may know, last weekend we had a presence at Fizz & Frills, a debut Wedding Marketplace in San Francisco. The first of its kind, the event was hosted by Utterly Engaged with Lovely Jubilee and Blu Bungalow. As the F&F website states, it was “Not the typical bridal event, Fizz & Frills is a 2-day shopping event where you can shop from a fine selection of independent designers and artisans, curated with love, to give brides and frill seekers the rare chance to indulge in their products firsthand.”

Dana and I have been tempering the idea of attending our first wedding or craft fair as a vendor for months now, and when I heard about Fizz & Frills I jumped at the opportunity. I know there is a ton of talent in San Francisco, so I thought it might be a long-shot to get in, but we were pleasantly surprised and honored to be accepted. We had limited resources and only two weeks to throw together a look for our table, so we mashed our heads together via Skype and decided to keep it simple and paper-forward!

Dana handmade dozens of bright, colorful paper flowers in NJ and shipped them to my studio in San Francisco. I then crafted a three-tiered wedding cake from different types of white paper – text stock, rice paper and glitter gift wrap. I also created a wee bunting banner with our tagline, since I knew we would have a sign with our logo above the display. The effect was vibrant and sweet, and drew a lot of people to our table who simply wanted to know what we do! (Anything made out of paper, but especially wedding invitations!) :-)

The rest of our table was just about sharing our wedding-related work. I realize my iPhone pics are not exactly star quality, but we had our Custom and Wedding Collection portfolios available for customers to flip through, our new San Francisco-themed invitation on display (more on that later this week) and a bin of thank you gifts for everyone who stopped by. At first I was fretting over how to showcase EVERY design we have ever made on the one table, but once I set up and stepped back, I realized that “less was more” and didn’t set out any of the individual suites on stands. Breathing space!

IN LOVE with these sequined table cloths from La Tavola Linen. Might need to rent a few for my wedding!
Of course, our little setup paled in comparison to the overall aesthetic of the event itself! The ladies who put on Fizz & Frills did an AMAZING job with the decor, music, sweet treats, bar and overall art direction. I was just blown away by the taste and effort put forth – they all even dressed in these gorgeous outfits each day that coordinated with the space, but not overly so! Just perfect!

Apologies for the dark, ‘hipstamatic’ prints! I couldn’t carry my camera along with everything else!
Not that you can tell from this image, but the dessert bar was to-die-for and the fruit and cake pops were worth every calorie! Bella Bridesmaid had dresses on display in the event colors. The drinks were pretty rad too!Overall, the event was a smashing success for Three Little Words, because we have already booked several new clients who we met that weekend. So exciting!

Photo found via PinterestAre you coming to San Francisco for Fizz & Frills this weekend?!?!?! We are so excited to meet all the other vendors, talk to couples about papery goodness, and cannot wait to hear all the different ways people in the Bay Area plan celebrate their weddings! We will also be debuting some new Wedding Invitation designs at the event, including our first location-themed suite, inspired by love for my favorite SF landmark, of course! More on that later this week…

In honor of the event, we are giving away two tickets to Fizz & Frills. All you have to do is one of the following:

Each time you do any or all of the above, you will be entered to win the two tickets (so you can bring a friend!) The winner will be selected randomly on Wednesday at 5pm, PST and notified via email. Good luck!

We are thrilled to announce that we were chosen as a vendor for Fizz & Frills, a Wedding Marketplace event in San Francisco on August 6 and 7! We will be there both days with save the dates, invitations, and day-of collateral from our Wedding Collection and Custom work, and hopefully signing up new couples in need of stationery for their big day! I will announce a giveaway for two tickets later this week, but in the meantime you can learn more about Fizz & Frills on their website and purchase tickets by clicking below.
